(2753) Segmenting Personal Lines Clients in Applied Epic Using Profit Centers

Many agencies know they should segment their personal lines book, but struggle to translate that knowledge into execution in Applied Epic®. This session walks through a real-world, repeatable approach to client segmentation using Applied Epic Profit Centers to create service tiers based on premium. The presenter will show how their agency analyzed their book of business in Excel, applied thoughtful human review and exceptions, and then operationalized segmentation directly at the line level in AppliedEpic.

The presenter will share how they used premium bands to define their PL client tiers, validated edge cases with assigned CSRs, and leveraged Agency Defined Categories to manage exceptions without breaking the model. Once Profit Centers were updated, they configured Applied Epic Download rules and CSR assignments differently for each tier, allowing them to focus experienced staff time where it matters most while reducing noise and friction on lower-tier accounts.
