(CE1) Personal Umbrella and Excess Liability (2 CE hours)

This session will provide an overview of this important insurance product and why it’s needed. You’ll learn the characteristics of a typical Umbrella/Excess Liability Policy and the differences between a Personal Umbrella Policy, Excess Liability (Following Form) Policy, and a Hybrid Umbrella/Excess Policy, including general provisions and exclusions. You’ll discuss underlying insurance and the importance of maintaining the underlying requirements. Using real-life scenarios, you’ll review how a Personal Umbrella Policy will respond in the event of a loss.
